Built in 1907 on a prime corner position with uninterrupted views from a northern boundary overlooking PARKLAND. The grand home has return verandah, hipped roofline, 3 chimneys, gables plus decorative timber bargeboards.
A bonus entrance off Stevens Street allows for garage access and parking.

Totally restored in 1999, including gutting the house, rewiring, new plumbing, re-roofing plus an extension to the rear, new garage, fencing and gardens. The original footprint of the house remained plus all main rooms retained their original use. A new front verandah, posts, trim & tiling were built.
A new front door with side and top lead lights was installed, the fireplaces in the first bedroom and lounge room including the chimneys were replaced. The original bathroom became an ensuite to the main
bedroom. The main bedroom retained its bay window and the leadlight window was restored. The lounge fireplace has a restored mahogany surround and matching mirror and the fireplace was sourced from South America. The lounge plus dining room have gas fired fireplaces. A new dome ceiling was built in the formal dining room.

The original wide planked jarrah floorboards have been retained and flow throughout the extension. The twelve foot ceiling height is continued in the new kitchen, meals and family room. Antique French bi fold doors with acid etched glass windows open to a high pitched pavilion and side/rear verandah. A new bathroom and a new laundry were incorporated in the southern side extension. A tall skylight feature in this area appears as if it is a second storey but is actually a storage loft with pull down stairs.

All detailing is in sympathy with the original period features of the house. The work was a true labor of love, with attention to detail and appreciation of the homes character and charm which has transformed it into a gracious family home ideal for today’s lifestyle.
