Fertile, free draining red and brown loam soils on Glenard Farm grow pastures which have become the home of quality spring lambs produced for the local butchers market. Such produce is synonymous with Tasmania’s premier red meats. Historically this country has also run beef cattle.

Local farmers have grown Tas Alkaloid Top Crop award winning poppy crops in this district. Cereal crops and lucerne are also grown without irrigation. Raised beds are not required due to free draining soils. Potatoes could be grown with the introduction of the proposed Evandale/North Esk Tasmanian Irrigation scheme which is planned to be commission by the spring of 2017.

The home on Glenard is spacious, warm and double glazed. The house underwent a complete renovation in 2012 and now boasts 4 bedrooms, an ensuite, main bathroom, office, living room with spectacular views, dining room and a wonderful state of the art’ kitchen. The picturesque, productive garden is well established. A spacious gazebo is a great addition that provides comfortable outdoor living opportunities.

The farmer has housed all his modern equipment in excellent steel sheds. These include a double garage, a large lockable workshop, a two bay tractor shed and a four bay implement shed.
