When the owners of this property built their home in 2009, they had the family in mind.
There is a light, bright entrance foyer where the kids can dump their schools bags as they run into the open plan living /dining area and pester Mum for that after school snack.
That’s not a problem for Mum as she has a gourmet and very functional kitchen. Cooking is easy with a gas oven and hob. There is plenty of cupboard and bench space and a large breakfast bar where the kids can do their homework while Mum prepares dinner.
Homework done, time for a little relaxation in the large open plan living room with its huge north facing windows, before dinner in the adjoining dining area. All these areas flow seamlessly together for easy family living. The neutral colour scheme and wood flooring make this a very easy to live with space.
In summertime dinner can be served outside on the BBQ deck, which is accessed through French doors off the dining area. The kids can play in the play area just off the deck while mum and dad share a drink and the day’s news.
As night creeps up and it’s time for the kids to go to bed, you won’t have any complaints as they can each have their own room in this spacious 4 bedroom home. Mum and Dad have their own master suite with views across to the river and mountain, plus a spacious walk in robe. The kids don’t miss out with the other three bedrooms having great light and each has built in robes.
The family bathroom has a clean white finish with separate shower and bath. There is a separate laundry with external access.
This home also looks out for the family heating budget. The walls, floors and ceiling are insulated and there is gas boosted solar hot water. The fuse box is big enough to install solar electricity if anyone wants to put it in, but we haven’t done so. Energy saving lights and appliances have been used throughout the home. For cosy winter evenings in there is a wood burning heater in the open plan living / dining area.
This fabulous family home is set on nearly 2 acres of land
