Here it is at last.
As lovers of outdoor living we Australians often yearn for a home with a couple of acres, a meandering creek to picnic by, and a paddock or two with room for the veggie patch and space to graze a few sheep or perhaps some free range chickens to supply us with fresh eggs in the morning.
Guess what, I think I may have found it for you. The best bit is that it’s only a short 30 minute drive to the CBD via the South Eastern Freeway.

The house is set back from the road behind a screening hedge. Olive trees add a European feel and the owners have also planted numerous native trees and shrubs around the property.
A number of tall old gum trees are dotted over the paddock by the creek. Just imagine spending a lazy summer afternoon under the shade of one of these lovely old trees while the kids potter about in the creek looking for frogs and tadpoles.

The family will not be disappointed with the layout of the home. The formal living room faces the front garden and provides dining and seating space. As the master suite is also located at the front of the home, this area could double as a parents retreat.
The hallway leads down to the open plan kitchen meals and family room. This living zone creates a wonderful place to relax and spend quality time with the kids. The rumpus room at the rear could be put to all manner of uses – a games area, play room, study or craft room – you decide.
Bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 are all well proportioned and suited to a growing family. A 3 way family bathroom will help make the morning rush hour a little less hectic. Climate control through summer is via a ducted evaporative system and during the cooler months an enormous slow combustion heater warms the home throughout. The home is also plumbed for portable gas heaters as an alternative to the wood heater on those not so cold nights There is ample space for car parking together with a garage under the main roof with indoor access to the kitchen.

How often do the children ask to go to the park to have a kick of the footy or hit a few cricket balls? No worries here, just take them out the back and play to their hearts content. Enjoy Al fresco dining on the patio – I will forgive you for thinking you are in the south of France somewhere!
