This is a large solid house, recently painted, with 23 acres of fully fenced land currently grazing cattle but just as suitable for horses or anything else. The back boundary is Meuanbah Creek and a small spring-fed creek runs at the rear of the home. The home has 5 bedrooms but one is currently being used as a study. All bedrooms and the study have split-level air conditioning. All bedrooms have built-in wardrobes, the master bedroom having a walk-in robe. The en suite opens to both the master bedroom and to the second bedroom. They all have high ceilings. About 2.6 metres. The front of the house has huge picture windows, opening to a view of the Basilisk Ranges, the hills a kilometre or so away. This is tropical rainforest. House water supply is via a bore taking water from 13 metres down, straight off the basalt. It is pure and plentiful. We pump it to a 33,000 litre holding tank from where it is pumped to the house. There is also an 11KVA generator hard-wired to the circuit. NBN is connected. The house block is about 3 acres of garden with hundreds of orchids of many types, plus gingers, bromeliads, hibiscus and many many other flowers. Trees range from mahogany, poinciana, frangipani, wattle, bleeding heart, fruit trees, cottonwood and all sorts of others including many different palm trees. Some of them are the host tree to the beautiful Dunk Island Blue butterfly and the Cairns Birdwing butterfly. There are many birds including several honey eaters, kookaburras, lorrikeets and lots of others. Wallabies graze in the paddock and we even have sand goannas. The house cannot be seen from the road as it is approached via a 300 metre driveway with a dog-leg in the middle. The house is split-level and the upper roof is new. The septic tank has a new trench. The shed has a heavy-duty concrete floor and has a workshop plus room for 3 large cars.

The property itself is about one hour twenty minutes drive South of Cairns, close to Paronella Park, the world- renowned tourist attraction. Twenty minutes away is Innisfail. The area consists of sugar cane, paw paw, banana and cattle farms. Various specialty crops are also grown, such as cocoa and passion fruit. Innisfail airport is 15 minutes away. There are several boat ramps, the nearest being about 20 minutes away. Innisfail also boasts mooring for boats in the Johnstone River, with more at Mourilyan Harbour where large ships load up with sugar. Fishing on the near-by Barrier Reef is legendary. The beaches are wonderful and unspoiled. So we are surrounded by rain forest, the Tablelands, beaches and the barrier reef. Paradise. Buses take the kids to school, with the school for grade 1 to 6 being 5 minutes away.

Our weather is tropical. The lowest overnight mid-winter temperature is about 10 degrees C and the highest mid-summer temperature is about 35 degrees C. The wet season lasts for about 3 months, usually January to March.

The garden is about 3 acres in size and a current plan is to lay out a putting green around it to satisfy some friends. I am informed that it is ideal for that.

Usages for the property include a specialty farm or a hobby farm. We grow our own cattle but before that we also had horses for the children and grandchildren.
