Feedlot
Constructed in 2007, the yards of the Class 1 Feedlot are all steel post with cattle rail and cable. All posts are elevated with concrete to stop rust and pre-drilled, sleeved and welded in for further rust-proofing. The feed bunkers are continuous pour with drain holes. Inside the pens is a 3 m concrete slab and a 1 m slab externally. There are 6 holding yards, 30 watered feedlot pens and a double deck loading ramp.
The induction shed is of full steel construction with a 50′ x 80′ all hydraulic 4-way draft and Leight crush. There are 2 lockable store rooms and office block which includes a lunch room, toilet and shower.
The current lease for the feedlot returns $251,000 +GST p.a.
Water reservoirs
There is a further 175 ML dam with a 25,000 gal/ h electric pump and a 20 ML dam with a tractor driven 16 flood lifter pump which pumps 38 ML per day.
Cultivation
165 Acres of cultivation (100 acres has been laser levelled) given to 65 acres of lucerne and 100 acres of sorghum. This is irrigated with 2 side rolls from 20 hydrants which are fed by 2650 m of underground 6″ and 4″ mains.
Pasture
200 Acres of fully improved pasture including bluegrass, Rhodes and wynn cassia divided into 3 paddocks.
