Hard to believe but it’s actually a weatherboard Queenslander circa 1895 with a single skin internal wall discovered. There are also two roof structures as the newly replaced shallow pitch roof was placed over the old higher pitched roof. Because of this, there are high ceilings inside and features from the old Queenslander coming through.

The home was moved to this site around 1991 and I presume the works were carried out then as the internal walls seem to have a gyprock plaster coating and the external walls show that classic Stanthorpe Stucco coating. The old external weatherboards are apparent in places. There is also a brand new colorbond roof but no pictures available of the roof at this stage.

It has a lovely open plan living area with three bedrooms with built-ins plus a large internal verandah/sun room and office nook. There is a covered rear deck with carport and a front outside verandah, on a 1116m2 block with some established trees at the front.

It is a large home, full of style and features and has a fantastic position, not close to neighbours with Mount Marlay views to the rear and in a quiet cul-de-sac close to the town centre (The railway line is only used by the occasional steam train 5 times a year approx).
