Sometimes, we just dream of our own weekender. Well, for an affordable price, here it is! Whether you want to live here permanently, or just head up for the weekends, the choice is yours.
A waterfront reserve home located at Bar Point on the beautiful Hawkesbury River. Bar Point is surrounded by hundreds of acres of high mountain National Park with housing at the waters edge where you can fish, swim, wander along one of the walking trails or just relax. Bar Point is connected to city electricity, telephone, including ADSL internet, and there are three large tanks to collect rain so you will have plenty of water. The recently renovated home is a classic river cottage with great river views, three bedrooms, (plus a self contained 4th bedroom under), central lounge/dining area, separate kitchen, and huge front veranda. The views of the river are spectacular.
Bar Point is located 15 minutes up-river from Brooklyn and has no vehicle access. The home has an allocated berthing space on a shared jetty/pontoon, which you can access with your own boat or water taxi. There is also a ferry departing Brooklyn, Mon-Fri at 9.30 a.m. In front of the house is a 30 metre wide grassy nature reserve and behind is Casuarina and eucalypt bushland. There is plenty of wildlife to keep children and adults entertained and you will have access to a double kayak with which to explore the Hawkesbury estuaries that contain many first settler secrets.
