Emmaville may only be a small country town, but it is the gateway to a wealth of nature’s best attractions.
Emmaville is located 39 km north of Glen Innes and functions as a service centre to a farming, grazing and mining area.
Fishing for Murray Cod, Yellowbelly and Trout in the local rivers and fossicking in and around the district for a multitude of minerals makes Emmaville a popular stop along the Fossickers Way.
The town is serviced by two hotels, a community swimming pool, school, RSL Club, hospital with a full time doctor and a post office.
Built approximately 100 years ago, the Emmaville General Store serviced this vibrant town until recently when the owners regrettably ceased trading. The store supplied general takeaway and consisted of a Caf, Hardware Store with plants and gardening equipment, a gas agency, general produce supplier and was a member of the Friendly Grocer group.
