THE PASTURE is mainly either Lucerne based or a perennial phalaris/rye mix, with sub clovers and some chicory and plantain.
The property has enjoyed a strong fertiliser history with pasture paddocks receiving single super every 3 years and all crops sown with MAP.
Crop yields are well above average with wheat approximately 5 tonnes per hectare and canola 2.5 tonnes per ha in recent years.
Over 90% of the property can be farmed. Over the years weighing between cropping and livestock production has shifted from 50/50 to more recently 70% livestock and 30% cropping. Over the past two decades considerable work has been done on pasture establishment via a 10 year rotation including
