IRRIGATION IMPROVEMENTS:
The “Ravensworth” river water irrigation system is supplied from two main supply channels, from the Murrumbidgee River & “Glen Hope” supply channel. A further source of river water is the Abercrombie Irrigation Scheme supply channel.
“Ravensworth” also has two irrigation bores with a combined allocation of 4,122 ML/annum. These bores have been tested at 24 ML/day and 15 ML/day respectively.
A lateral irrigation system is in place and waters about 180 ha.
Row crop irrigation fields are in a rectangular pattern. Fields are all laser levelled with head ditches and tailwater return channels to existing on-farm storage.
