Darling Farms Pty Ltd (“Darling Farms”) is interested in selling all its irrigation assets at Bourke. This includes the cotton growing properties “Darling Farms”, “Fort Bourke” and “Alambi” along with the North Bourke Cotton Gin, collectively called the ‘Cotton Assets’.

Darling Farms Pty Ltd also holds several horticultural properties and a large fruit packing business at Bourke – all of which are available for purchase.

An Information Booklet is available which outlines the opportunity and provides information to potential buyers.

The ‘Cotton Assets’ are currently part of a large agribusiness enterprise, “Darling Farms”, owned by the Buster and Cole families.

The assets are located at Bourke in north-western New South Wales in the major cotton area at the head of the Darling River system and are strategically placed to take advantage of river flows as all major tributaries of the Darling River enter above Bourke.

A total of 2,083 ha of cotton was planted for the 2011-12 season with an estimated yield of 11.6 bales/ha. Given the good growing conditions at Bourke and water availability for 2012-13 these ‘Cotton Assets’ will provide the buyer with an immediate foothold in a profitable and expertly managed cotton operation.
