LITHGOW A VALLEY CHANGE. Escape to Lithgow it was the first industrial town in Australia and is now a very pretty thriving modern community with the Great Western Highway passing through. The winters can see snow and the summers are mostly dry heat. This cottage of bedrooms looks across to hills and pastures. The peace and quiet is wonderful. For a family there are several schools, shopping is easy , and this dwelling is only 2 minutes from hospital, doctors & specialists in most fields of medicine. Buses go past the front door. If sport is your interest then this is the town for you. Lithgow is where Olympians have come from and caters for most sports. This valley is steeped in history ;it was from here that the explorers surveyed and the west was won. By car 2 hours to Sydney and 40 minutes from Bathurst where the shopping is A1 and the Charles Sturt University resides. This cottage has ducted heating throughout and air-cond in the main bedroom. It is a well built house (approximately 60 years old) and this is what first attracted me to it. Whilst this has been a mining town in the early years no mines sit below this area. I am selling for health reasons & moving close to family. It is a very comfortable home and I am going to miss it and the great neighbour, churches & friends that I have here.
