More than 100 years old, Cucumgilliga School was established on 5th November 1898. The school residence and schoolroom have been restored and the schoolroom is presently registered as a Bed and Breakfast. The original 10 acres has natural timber with many large eucalyptus plus other trees planted by the students. The school residence has 2 bedrooms, lounge and dining room and a modern kitchen that includes electric and wood fuel stoves. Good bathroom plus separate laundry. Residence has a
wood heater plus a gas outlet for winter and evaporative cooling for summer. Enclosed verandah adds extra room. Features include all new fencing, double colourbond garage, large machinery shed, small feed shed, sheep paddock, chook pens, excellent rain water storage and established gardens. Schoolroom has an open wood fire and electric cooling for summer.
