This design is available with expert advice from owner builder if you desire to build a home with a difference.

The Everingham Rotating House is a 24-metre diameter octagon with a 3-metre circular verandah. The entire structure rotates up to 360? if and when desired, within a 180? retainer wall and a 180? fixed deck and railing.

The concept and design is a result of more than a decade of research and development.

The building moves around a central core of plumbing and electricals. It can move on demand or be preprogrammed to follow the sun or shade. It encapsulates many aspects of ecologically sound building principles, such as optimising natural light and heat.

A touch panel on the wall in the lounge room lets you change the position of the house with a couple of simple presses. You just select which side of the house you want to go to which direction, then press go or use the preset functions for different times of the year such as following the sun in winter.

The rotation speed can be varied and it takes about 2 hours to do a rotation at the slower speed, which is 40 metres per hour.

This design, featured on numerous television shows, and the builder’s knowledge and experience are now available to the public.
