PREAMBLE:
The vineyard was part of the greater Beringer Blass Estates and is located in the Upper Hunter Wine Region. Vineyards adjacent comprise Arrowfield, Rosemount and Cruickshanks.

LOCATION:
About 10 kms North of Denman, 14 kms South of Muswellbrook on Denman Road.

AREA:
The land has an approximate area of 67 ha (165 acres), known as Lot 21.

VINEYARD:
Layout comprises ten separate blocks of vines, a total area of 51.2 ha mainly red varieties except for 6.7 ha of Verdelho. Trellis system is VSP and foliage wires.
Varieties include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz and Verdelho (See schedule for areas and yield).

IRRIGATION:
The General Security allocation for the vineyard is 90 ml per annum. Vine irrigation is sourced from the Hunter River via a shared pipe line and 60 kw pump supplying a storage dam. Water is drawn from the dam by 1 x 35 kw and 1 x 55 kw pumps, filtered through Amiad screen filters thence to 2.3 lt/hr drippers on 900 mm spacings (equals 4.6 lt per vine). Planting is at 1850 vines/ha.
