This 1862 fully restored masterpiece is simply one of the most impressive restoration projects we have ever seen. Offering the purchaser the unique lifestyle only an historic home can provide but also the flexibility if one wishes to combine any number of commercial pursuits like an accommodation business or wedding centre with exceptional demand for both.

The tone is set on arrival at the front gates which have been custom made to replicate the original iron work on the property and are fully electronic. As they open, your eyes are drawn along the pear-tree lined driveway across to the old stables which have the original cobblestone flooring and decorative iron rails, purchased from the Crystal Palace Exhibition in London in 1854. Continuing further you arrive at the front of this amazing single-level country homestead, with wide sweeping verandahs and wrought iron columns. A splendid mix of Georgian and Victorian architecture, the home sits proudly amongst massive old fig trees with breathtaking views of the surrounding farmland and the Paterson River.

The interior has been professionally decorated and features rich cedar joinery, marble fireplaces, flanked by servant bell-ringers, and some of the most spectacular plaster work you will ever see. It is beautifully finished with English wallpapers, exquisite silk curtains and intricate paintwork.

The main pavilion houses a grand entrance, formal dining, ballroom/living area and 4 bedrooms. Off to one side is the servants wing, which incorporates informal living and dining areas and a stunning new kitchen, complete with Ilve appliances, imported hand painted tile splashbacks and gold Perrin and Rowe tapware. To the other side, a later addition 1912 guest wing was added and used at one time as a school, serving the children of the Estate’s tenant farmers. This incorporates more bedrooms and living spaces and has it’s own bathroom. All of the wings are connected by an enclosed sunroom which overlooks a central grassed courtyard.

The grounds of the Estate feature rambling English style cottage gardens, an in-ground pool, horse stables and extensive post and rail fencing. It is probably the best example of it’s kind and so rare on one level.
