“A lovely cottage full of charm and character with huge garden areas and fruit trees. There is also a chicken house and plenty of vegetable gardens and large workshop/garage as well as a fire-pit and rustic outdoor seating – great for sitting around and enjoying a BBQ, beer and music whilst staring up at a star-filled night’s sky. The house is located about a five minute walk down to Kangaroo River where you can relax on the river beach, go swimming, go kayaking, go fishing or just enjoy a picnic with the family. At twilight, you may also catch a glimpse of a platypus down by the river. You will also see plenty of wildlife around the house including wombats, wallabies, possums as well a spectacular range of birdlife.

It is a 25 drive to Berry and a 35 minute drive to Seven Mile Beach. Seven Mile Beach area is a great area to explore with some amazing beaches, surfing and fishing spots. The house is also close to a number of National Parks as well as wineries and plenty of other things to enjoy in historic Kangaroo Valley and the surrounding areas. You will find the locals to be very friendly and helpful and there is a strong sense of community in the Valley. It’s a great place to smell the country air, unwind from city life. A great opportunity to walk down to one of the local cafes, spin a yarn with a mate and enjoy breakfast and a coffee.

The house is furnished with comfortable quality furniture and beds and is comprised of two separate bedrooms with an option for an additional bedroom area. A modern kitchen with all appliances (no dishwasher) with a 6-plate gas cooktop and large electric oven. There is also a huge double French-door fridge/freezer. There are original floorboards throughout providing an allergy-free environment. There is a full-length deck at the northern rear side of the house where you can relax and enjoy the garden. It’s a two minute drive to all amenities including restaurants, cafes and shops as well as the Friendly Inn Hotel. There is Wi-Fi and smart TV as well as a Tasmanian log burner which provides amazing heating in winter as well creating a warm and comfortable environment. There is instantaneous hot water so it never runs out and a very deep cast iron bath to relax in after a hard day in the garden.”
