This grand old home was built in 1938 and they sure knew how to build houses back then. It is very solid and the out side was painted only 4-5 years ago. The spouting has been renewed and parts of the roof renewed.

Inside the first thing you notice are the beautiful hardwood floorboards and panelling. This needs bringing back to its former glory.

The 70s kitchen is quite workable but needs doing up over time. It has a walk in pantry and sports a dishwasher and range hood. The bathroom dates to the same era and needs modernising, but is quite serviceable.

There is also ducting to floor vents from a wood heating system which could be utilised for a heat pump or other form of central heating.

Outside there is a garage with a workshop and wood shed plus plenty of off street parking. The back yard is also dog proof.

The established garden with built in wood barbeque and terraced areas is quite sophisticated and flows beautifully.

This is all in the fully serviced town of New Norfolk with its history and magnificent Derwent River-(pictured).
New Norfolk is only 35 minutes from Hobart CBD.
