Sitting on the rear deck of this lovely home and gazing down onto a 25 foot deep swimming lake, I realise that sometimes properties can offer much more than the list of items on a sheet of paper.
This one has 60 Acres of seclusion, set up as a banana farm originally but now just a great home on useable acres. You certainly are not locked in to one idea on this property. It could be a horse property (all the necessary basics are already in). It could be a farm again, or even a Bed and Breakfast as it is so close to best parts of our wonderful hinterland. Just 8 minutes to the beach, 6 minutes to Eumundi, 30 minutes to the airport and 20 minutes to Hastings Street cafes. Most of all it could be an unbelievable family home with teenagers. To have access to all this property offers as a teenager would just be amazing.
The main building is a six bedroom house with a massive living area at its heart. It has a workers cottage which has its own bathroom and kitchen. It has two massive sheds which can be used for an assortment of things from building to storing. There is a new building that has been begun with views right down the front of the property to Noosa which could easily be a bed and breakfast or more guest accommodation.
The front of the property is divided into horse paddocks and gardens. There are stables, a holding yard, round yard and four front paddocks all fenced. Alongside the full bitumen drive near the property entrance is a small shop that the current owner uses to sell her fresh vegetables from to locals and passerby.
At the back of the property is a home-site that has views back to Cooroy mountain and across the hinterland. It has trails cut through the bush part of the property for horse riding and dirt bikes. It also has a deep swimming lake that has had many a great party hosted around its banks and jetty.
Water on this property is not a problem in any way. Both the lakes have the ability to pump water up to a set of tanks that are situated high on the side of the hill, above the house. This allows the water to be gravity fed throughout the irrigation system that is already established. The home has its own tanks for fresh drinking water.
In summary let me take you back with me to that rear verandah.
I am sitting there engrossed in the beauty of the Australian farm, feeling the gentle breeze whisper up the hillside and over my skin with birds filling the air with their song. I realise there is not much else I would want than this. To have a place that my family can come, and be, and live. That’s it. That’s what I think a property should do. Allow you to be you and enjoy it!
