LOCATION: Boonal Staion is located in the northern NSW Border Rivers catchment area, on the NSW – QLD border, 31km from Goondiwindi, 110km north of Moree, and 380km from Brisbane.
SERVICES: Nearby Goondiwindi is the main service centre for day to day services. Moree, located to the south, complements Goondiwindi, and has three daily commercial flights to/from Sydney with Qantas Airlines.
RAINFALL: 625mm per annum
COUNTRY: Generally flat open country with some smaller lightly scattered areas of timber, mainly along rivers. Timbers include Belah, Myall, Lignum, Brigalow and Coolabah.
FENCING: Boonal has been well subdivided to utilise the river country and grazing country. Approximately 4,900 ha (40km) is equipped with electric fencing.
