The Church was once the centre of activity in West Wallsend and a meeting place for the predominantly Scottish families that lived there.
It was the venue for Sunday evening services, Sunday school and the very popular Boys club and Girls club. The original weather board church building was located where the current hall is now until the brick church was built in 1903, and the block was surrounded with a picket fence.
It was closed in 1999 due to the declining congregation numbers.

The property is zoned 2(1) residential and uses could include a home, child care centre, bed and breakfast, professional rooms, possibly a gallery and of course a church, all subject to council approval.

West Wallsend is a well kept secret amongst devoted locals who love living in the area.
