Auction Location: On site. Come and fall in love….As I sit here preparing myself to say good bye to my home on auction day, I am reminded of all the reasons I fell in love with this home in the first place. Ive enjoyed so many mornings simply sitting on my elevated deck, watching the sun rise over the mountains with Black Mountain Tower perfectly framed in the distance, and enjoyed the ever changing leafy vistas that this suburbs affords. I love that fact that you look out into these trees from each of the 3 bedrooms, and that the main bedroom is such a large size and lets the sunlight flood inside in the mornings, it is such a beautiful way to start the day! My husband and I dont have to fight over the bathroom as we can practically have one each, and both were tastefully renovated with neutral tones throughout. The home is so comfortable to live in, there is ducted gas heating as well as reverse cycle cooling, however with the North East facing front and natural breezes achieved through its elevated position, we can rely on mother nature to do most of the work for us. I reminisce about the how the spacious kitchen has allowed us countless hours and memories of cooking together with our friends and family, as the floor plan is both practical and functional. We have updated the appliances, including a brand new dishwasher, and have loved the ample storage. I always feel a sense of calm as I step into the spacious front entry of an afternoon and know that I am home. We have raised two giant Great Danes here so I know the generous backyard will be large enough accommodate even the most energetic of children. However this home has also had the bonus of the foot path immediately opposite our front yard where we could take the dogs for a walk down to Ginninderra Creek and the masses of reserve and parkland for an even greater run. I think of the hours we have willingly put in to make use of every part of the 866sqm block. We have built and established fantastic vegetable gardens on one side, which is fun to explore through raised garden beds, archways and where the strawberries grow faster than we can eat them! There is also a beautiful shade tree out the front, where I have enjoyed being able to sit, relax and read a book in complete privacy under. The other side of the home has been perfect for happy hour, framed by lavender plants and with that fantastic view, it has been perfect for BBQs or entertaining. We have loved the a tandem garage with loads of storage and we even thought about running a business from home at one stage as there is still plenty of parking space for extra cars or trailers. I can honestly say that this the best house we have ever owned and I just know that whoever the new owners are, they will love it as much as we have. We have already purchased elsewhere so will be saying good bye on auction day, I cant wait to see who the new owners are and to wish them many happy years here!
