Hi We are sad to be losing a housemate but excited about getting a new one. The room is free from 17 July and is about $186 per week ($798 per calendar month). THE HOUSE I never really wanted to be a real estate agent so Im going to steal some of what they wrote about it: NEWish three-level townhouse; large open plan light filled living area leading out to good sized north facing balcony; slick open plan kitchen with stainless steel appliances and dishwasher and plenty of storage space; three generous bedrooms all with their own bathroom; single off-street parking spot with remote roller door; heating and air-con (no air-con in the bedroom); andplenty of storage space. Apartment is furnished but may be able to make room for stuff if you have it. The bedroom is not furnished. We have Foxtel and internet; can negotiate on these if you would prefer not to be involved or to upgrade! THE ROOM So Ill get the bad stuff about the room out of the way first. Its on the bottom floor of the three storey townhouse on the same level as the garage (which is kind of an indoor garage if that makes sense so you dont have to go outside or anything) and doesnt get natural light. But it has its own ensuite is very private and quite large. It doesnt have wardrobes but there will be some storage stuff in there (i.e. a rack and new wardrobe) ABOUT US Housemate number 1 (Steve) is a 28 year old gay guy who works professionally in the city. I tend not to be home more than a couple of nights a week but when I am I usually like kicking back and socialising preferably with a beer or two. Weekends tend to be spent clubbing drinking watching Collingwood play or doing stuff with friends. Housemate number 2 (Tara) is 28 year old girl who works professionally too. I have a pretty busy schedule between heading out and meeting friends making some attempts of fitness and working on my touch footy career (its failing badly). Im happy to have a DVD day on the couch with a glass of wine or cup of tea every once in awhile too. We are both well house trained and fairly neat but certainly not neat freaks! We get a cleaner once a month and are considering once a fortnight. We both are competent cooks and like to share meals occasionally. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Male or female (male preferred but by no means essential); Age 25-35(ish); Professional or Master/PhD student with steady and reliable weekly income (required for landlord approval); Good rental history a plus (required for landlord approval); andLaid back and easy going (no stressheads – we dont do drama in our house). So if you think this house sounds like you send me an email or call (please only call after 6.30pm or anytime on weekends (after about 10am)) to work out a time to meet us.
