We are looking for a third housemate to take the place of one who is leaving around the at the end of May in our somewhat characterful house in Blackburn South.
The house is in close proximity to Forest Hill Chase, a 24 hour Kmart and Coles at Burwood1, and Deakin University. The location is perfect for those who depend on public transport, with buses to Blackburn Station taking about 15 minutes and many more buses nearby, as well as trams on Burwood highway. There is also ample parking space on the street and in the driveway.
The room to be rented is decently sized, carpeted, and has ducted heating that was newly installed last year. We share a bathroom with a bath and shower, a fully-furnished living area, and a spacious retro kitchen. We have a big backyard with a clothes line and a garage for storage if necessary. Rent is also quite reasonable at $492 per calendar month and bills (incl. 200GB of lovely internet per month) are split 3 ways. $150 a week would usually cover rent and bills easily (but naturally, bills can vary slightly with the season).
Potential housemates will need to have enough (fairly consistent) employment to cover the rent and utilities, be a responsible adult (preferably twenty-something or close to it), willing to do their share of the cleaning and care of the house, and be friendly and honest.
