I know for a fact that a 2 bed apartment in some of these locations doesn’t cost upwards of $2800 a month so people are obviously having their rent subsidised by the person moving in!

The prices that people are asking for sub-par apartments on here are absolutely ridiculous, I want to move out with someone decent so I can save a bit of money (I love living alone but sharing with a decent person can be a good shout as well!).

I am currently living in a pretty sexy 1 bed apartment in Southbank – I know for a fact that the 2 bed apartments here go for around $2000 unfurnished. I have the majority of furnishings needed for a new house – the only thing needed is a flat mate!

Housemate wise – you should be in a decent job – (shifts dont really work when only one person does it especially as most Melbourne apartments are poorly built internally and it would mean both of us tip-toeing around), reliable, Clean & tidy but not anal about it, be sociable but have your own life and understand that personal space is needed :)

Ill be signing up for premium membership tomorrow but here are my pre-requisites for an apartment:

1) Parking – I have a car so parking is pretty crucial
2) Pool / Gym / Recreation – Didnt think id use mine as much as I currently do
3) Central – I am looking at somewhere within walking distance of the CBD if possible – if not maybe a short tram / train journey – where I am living at the moment is perfect near the greenery of the Botanical Gardens
4) Decent Kitchen!

5) Would be nice to have an En-Suite but not crucial!

So get in touch if this sounds like something you want, We can split everything 50/50 from the start and not end up paying a ridiculous amount!

BTW – I am not going to rush into this – it is more important for me to find a decent person and a decent place to live with than to rush into something for the sake of it! :)
