1970′s two storey brick extravaganza (peppermint green walls, orange and brown kitchen, that sort of thing…), with small internal courtyard and underused front and back yard. The house has seen better days like most in this area, but is comfortable with a large kitchen (gas), meals area and laundry on one side and the living on the other. Bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs.

Located corner of Holden St and St. Georges Road. 10 sec to 112 tram (down Brunswick St. to Collins St.) and 10 min walk to 96 tram (Nicholson St. to Bourke St.) 10 min walk to Piedmontes supermarket, numerous cafes and pubs, video shop, chemist, takeaway, bottle-o, parks and merri creek etc, and 20 mins to Brunswick St., Lygon St. and High Street. Super convenient!

to live with….

Gay male couple (5 years)

Michael (30), RMIT University academic across the field of architecture. The type of person who doesnt have a Facebook account but has a lot of books. I also work from home when Im not at the university. Slightly cynical personality and with a dark sense of humour. I have a penchant for theatre, art and the cerebral.

Luke (32 ish….), currently studying project management in the city. Likes diamonds and horror films the gorier and more manic the better. (Often finds himself watching them alone for this reason!). Keeps the house running. Loves cooking, power tools and more than occasionally yelling out of the window at guys walking along the street.

Looking for
male or female. gay OR straight, working fulltime or at the very least studying with a job. Preferably someone who is clean and tidy (knows what a mop, dishcloth, vacuum is) and is considerate of the other people they are living with. We are not really a party house, unless a good film and a big bottle of wine is a party, though we really do want someone that can talk to us/we can talk to as we are fairly straight up about most things. Food is separate, but we do look forward to sharing a few TV meals. Smokers are okay, as long as outside. No short-term stayers, as you will be required to enter onto the lease and I dont really want to do this again in 4 months.

The place will be available from 16th Dec 2013

Rent is $659 per month each, plus bills (water, gas, phone, and essentials -ie toilet paper etc are all split between house mates evenly wifi/cable internet is also available if you want to chip in). We share the cleaning via a roster (vacuum, wash floors, bathroom etc) which just makes everything easier. You will need to get yourself some pots and pans. Sorry, no pets, though we do have one or two very lonely fish.
