I am looking for a lodger to share my fully furnished house in Moonah.
It is a great location. A seven minute drive, or a 10 min bus ride to city. It is very close to shops, transport and amenities and a five minute walk to the bus route.
There is a good size, open plan living area, a modern kitchen and bathroom, two toilets and a separate laundry. The room for rent is a double room and has a built in wardrobe and is fully furnished. If you did want to bring you own bedroom furniture it can be arranged to have the existing furniture moved out. Currently the room has a single bed with a bedside table, desk and chair. The room will fit a double bed. The room would ideally suit an international student or someone relocating to Hobart. The unit is not big enough for a couple to move in.
The house has a large garden and a patio area which is good for BBQ’S and get togethers. At the moment there is not much happening in the garden. However, I am starting to get around to garden design and development. I am looking forward to starting a vegetable garden.
Overall the house is light, bright and airy. It is clean and tidy. I think that it has a really nice ”feel” to it.
About Me!… I am 34 years old….but I don’t feel that old! I work for the Tasmanian Government and I also work 2 nights per week so I am not home that much. I also study part-time and do Tupperware, so I am pretty busy!
I like cooking, music and going out with friends. I love to travel, I have done a lot in the past, and hope to do much more in the future! I like living in a clean house. (Although I am not OCD about it!). I am pretty easy going, enjoy a laugh, the occasional glass of wine (or 2!)
Who I am looking for:… I would really like someone easy going and fun. Someone who can get involved in things, but knows when to mind their own business. You must be a non smoker, and someone who does not drink to excess, or take drugs, whilst living in the property. I’d prefer a female housemate, but I have an open mind for the right person. I would prefer someone who can commit to at least a six month lease.
I would like someone who wants to live in a clean and tidy environment and doesn’t mind helping with a fair allocation of cleaning jobs. I hope that you will respect my furniture etc like it was your own. I would prefer someone who likes to keep their home life pretty relaxed. I don’t want a party house! However I like to have the occasional get together. I don’t mind people coming over, just not all time and I like those people to respect my home and my possessions. (IE: no trashing of the house!).
I think communication is very important. I am very up front, honest and open and hope that you will be the same.
Rent is $100.00 per week (plus $400 security deposit payable in full up front) PLUS expenses of $40 per week which includes electricity, water, household cleaning items and toilet paper etc.
I ask that you share all expenses and cleaning fairly and pay your rent on time!
The moving date is negotiable, but the room is available now.
