My partner and I are moving out of a room in a lovely spacious Queenslander at 131 Mitchell Street one street back from the Strand. There are 3 other easy-going housemates who are professionals/postgraduate students ranging in age from 23 – 27. Currently the rent is at $505 per week which we divide 5 ways to make it affordable for each of us. The electricity costs are about $120 per quarter and Internet is $20 per month. Water is free unless we use too much. The room will include a shelf and wardrobe. If you need a bed I can rustle one up for you for $100. There is plenty of storage under the house as well as an outside laundry area. Living here is fantastic! You are right next to the strand next to Strand Park where there are events on all the time for your enjoyment. The beach is right at your feet and there are plenty of restaurants and cafes a few minutes walk away. Bilo is 5 minutes walk down the road. Sometimes at night you can hear the waves!
