Furnished Room has now been occupied. May be another room available March depending on if my housemates move out after the lease runs out.

The house has got comfortable reclining indoor and outdoor furniture and all the gadgets to make life easy e.g. dishwashers, air conditioning/heating, dryer, two large fridges and a bar fridge with one that has 24hr filtered cold water and instant ice-maker, huge digital telli in lounge with T-Box and modern decor. You need nothing, except clothes, sheets, towels.

The house also backs onto a tidal saltwater canal where you can throw a line in if you like fishing, (also large crabs in season) and has a large solar heated saltwater pool.

A 5 minute walk to a large main shopping center with Woollies, doctors, chemist, bakeries, Coffee Club, takeaways, bottle shop, and more.

The house is air conditioned but it is always cool here with breezes off the water. Also got heating in the air conditioner

I’m a professional working person, and enjoy renting my rooms out to people who are like the two of us –friendly, nice, respectful of others space and belongings, very clean and easy to get along with, open minded and intelligent. We have a lovely friendly household here and we all get along well and everyone gets their space.

A short seven to ten minute bike ride will take you to TAFE and the university and if you like to exercise walking would take you about 20 minutes to the university, and about 25-30 minutes walk to the TAFE.

We are also very close to the Hervey Bay hospital (only 4-5 minute drive) and to the beginning of Boat Harbour Drive which is the CBD. A few minutes drive or even walk to the beaches if you like a 20 to 30 minute stroll.

Bond is $250 which will not be refunded and will be used for cleaning carpets, walls, fans, windows and will be part payment for cleaning of the shared areas when you leave. Two weeks rent in advance. You will be expected to sign a negotiated lease. If you lose your job then of course I would release you from the lease, and insert a clause to say so in the lease, however you would need to ensure you have two weeks paid up in advance.

The house is LARGE AND SPACIOUS and heaps of separate spaces to relax and get time alone. Great outdoor areas as well. Never crowded because of both the size and design of the house and of course everyone does their own thing at different times and sometimes stay away. In the three years I have lived here, none of my housemates or myself have ever felt over crowded.

We don’t leave our dishes on the sinks for others to clean & wipe benches, empty the garbage regularly and keep the shared areas clean and uncluttered – yes that’s why it works..lol)

Mallory and Mitchell (24, 25)are my most recent housemates -both young doctors – and they left to go back to Canada. We loved sharing together and we all said we would keep in touch on FB and hopefuly meet up again one day. If you need to speak with them, I can arrange that.

Jono – Paramedic 24 yrs old – got transferred to Kingaroy. He was just awesome to live with and still visits me when he is back here and we keep in touch on FB.

Matt- (23) my other housemate moved in with his girlfriend, who he met here. He was working full time making light aircraft. Even though they moved to Brisbane he and Tam come and stay with me sometimes when they come up here.

These guys lived with me for 12 months and would be more than happy to talk to you!
