I have a room to let in a two bedroom apartment in Toowong for a quiet courteous professional housemate. The apartment is walking distance from Toowong Village, Auchenflower Train Station, Regatta Ferry Terminal and several major bus routes, including the night bus from the Valley and city.

There is a double bed in the room, and a sliding mirrored wardrobe and ceiling fan. You will have your own bathroom (not en suite), so it may very occasionally be used by visitors.

The apartment was renovated at the end of last year, so it’s all in good condition. The place was repainted and floors tiled throughout.

There is a large balcony with lounge and table outdoors as well as the lounge indoors. Also a second table and chairs on the balcony. There is extra storage space in the garage below. Sorry no parking space offered.

The rent includes Electricity, Gas, Cable Broadband (35Mbps), and the full HD Foxtel package.

I am a 36 year old Irish IT professional who works Monday to Friday in the city, and has hobbies that takes me out of the house on a most Tuesday and Thursday evenings, so this would give the potential housemate some time alone in the house for a few hours at a time, and I tend to go on weekends away every few weeks. I prefer a housemate who can return the favour of giving me time alone in the house regularly. I am a very social person, but it’s important to get a balance of alone time too.

I keep the house tidy, and don’t have that many visitors around, so you won’t have to put up with any excess noise or mess in the house. I am a smoker, but I only smoke in the balcony. I don’t drink, but I still enjoy social gatherings, and you are welcome to have people call round for drinks. No drugs though.

The room is for single occupancy, though couples may be considered depending on how much time they spend in the house, obviously for additional rent.
