Hi there! I’m Yasmine, a 30 year old social worker working full time at St Vincent’s Hospital and completing my Masters Degree, and I live with my partner Jake, who is 24 and studying visual arts at Sydney Uni. We’re interested in art, culture, travel, bushwalking, music, spending time with family and friends, and bike riding (we ride most places). We love company, although we are respectful of privacy. We spend a lot of time cooking tasty vegetarian food and spending time with our lovable 10 year old cocker spaniel Halle. Our house is quite often full of wonderful smells coming from the kitchen (including lots of homemade bread!). Our house is in Stanmore on a lovely quiet street with plenty of on-street parking. We are only a couple of minutes’ walk to the bus stop on Parramatta Road where you can hop on a bus to the city, a 5 minute walk to Norton Street in Leichhardt, and about 5 minutes to Stanmore train station. Our house is a lovely old renovated Victorian semi in great condition, with polished floorboards, two bedrooms, one bathroom, recently renovated large kitchen with dishwasher, a sunny deck out the back and big yard with grass, a raised vegie patch and clothesline. Our spare room can be furnished with a bed and desk if you wish, or you’re welcome to bring your own furniture and our spare things can stay up in our attic space. There is a large built-in wardrobe in the room also. Rent is $270 per week, including all energy bills and unlimited ADSL2+ wireless broadband. We would also welcome couples but the rent would be $320 to cover extra usage costs. We request 4 weeks bond and each week’s rent in advance. We’re a pretty laid back couple, often busy during the day and enjoy our time at home to relax, and occasionally have friends around for a meal. We have always rented our spare room since we enjoy having another friendly face in the house and interesting discussions, but are also very mindful that sometimes people need their own peace and space. We also like keeping common areas clean, so we just ask that anyone interested in the room would also be respectful of shared space. We want to ensure ours is the kind of home you’d feel comfortable in, so we’d love to meet you and for you to see the place. We don’t have any minimum requirement for your time with us, but ideally if we get along you’d love to stick around! Please call, text or email if you’re interested. Our current housemate is planning to move out by June 22nd, but if you wanted/needed to move in sooner, he would probably be able to move out sooner. Hope to hear from you soon! :o)
