Hi we’re looking for a Roommate to move into a house in the inner west with us! We don’t have a place just yet but have a few in mind so once we find the right person it should be smooth sailing…
My Hubby and I are currently living in an apartment in Summer Hill and are looking to upgrade to a house with a yard because we have a small dog. We are planning on finding a place within walking distance to a train station preferably on the inner west line and close to cafes and shops.
I’m a student and study psychology at uni and kinesiology and mind body medicine at a college and my husband works in a corporate environment. We both love food (eating, cooking and baking), travelling, live music, art, outdoor activities like camping and hiking and doing new things. Due to me not being able to have a full time job it’s hard for us to find an apartment or house in our price range that has a courtyard for our dog which is why we have decided to look for a roommate. Before living where we are now we lived in a share house together so we’re know how to live comfortably with other people…
We are looking for a friendly, relaxed, easy going professional female or mature student, who enjoys quiet nights in on week nights, perhaps good conversation over a meal with housemates and isn’t interested in having people over all the time. The occational gathering on weekends isn’t a problem as long as it’s not too crazy
She needs to be clean and take part in keeping the common areas clean and well presented. I’m a little bit of a clean nut so it would be nice to have someone who shares my views :p
She needs to like dogs and be willing to follow our little muffins training. Bailey (our Maltese x mini foxie) is a super sweet pup, she recently turned one and is very loving and affectionate. However she does have a few small issues, mostly anxiety and over excited behaviours like jumping up or always needing attention that we are trying to work through, so our roomie needs to be willing to keep to our training methods. She doesn’t bark or cry and she is generally a very sweet dog but it’s important we fix the problems she has so they don’t get worse. We are implementing Cesar Milan’s training methods and really want someone who is going to be able to follow this method and help turn bailey into the perfect little dog. In return they will be able to share the love she gives and share the joys of having a dog without the extra responsibilities or costs.
We would like our roommate to be comfortable signing the lease with us for 6mths or a year and be willing to pay between $200-$350/week. We have unlimited internet which is $60/month which can be shared for a small cost if interested and we can figure out other bills like electricity once we have secured a place.
If you’re interested in sharing a place with us please send me an email with a short bio and any concerns or perhapsareas you would prefer to live so we can keep that in mind when looking… we are focusing on Newtown, St Petere, Erskinville and Enmore but will also consider other suburbs in the inner west as well…
If we think we’re compatible I’ll give you a call and we can organise to grab a coffee and have a chat…
We want to move as soon as possible and have a few properties in mind but have to give 3weeks notice to our current land lord and often finding a place takes a little time so please keep that in mind.
Look forward to hearing from you!
Vanessa and Aaron
