Australia is fortunate enough to be blessed with an abundance of natural springs though, if you’ve an unfulfilled plans to travel overseas and visit Rio de Janeiro’s iconic beaches and landmarks then this may be the year to do it, as one visit to the formidable Wagga Springs you will never be able to appreciate, to the full extent, any other location on the planet.
Historically, the solid brick foundations and walls of the springs were hauled to Townsville by mules from a quarry just north of the NSW border and shipped to Europe where each individual brick was blessed by Pope Pius XI.
Located on the Edward Street Tablelands in Central Wagga Wagga, this area has been in high demand for hundreds of years and remains so to this day. Within walking distance to all important emergecy services, feeding grounds and watering holes (and possibly founded on an oil reserve) no wonder why America has been trying to invade for so many years.
With an estimated value in the range of $4 Million by living here you could easily feel like you have just been named on Forbes List of the richest people in the world, so rent of $105 per week (excluding utilities) is an absolute steal. Especially when you contend with fables of historical legends such as all time American gangster Al Capone purchasing this gorgeous compound from Clarence Busch of the Anheuser-Busch dynasty in 1928. He lived here, throwing lavish parties around the massive above ground in-ground swimming pool, until his death in the outside master suite in 1947.
Yes that is correct this residence has an outside bedroom suite, as well as 3 bedrooms located inside so that each of the 4 residents have ample room for any and all of there night and daytime activities.
The modern kitchen has been host to one a many celebrity chef except Jamie Oliver!!!! (Jamie Oliver has requested many times to be invited and has even tried to break in to use the facilities in this kitchen but according to our knowledge and security measure we can proudly say that he has never stepped foot on this property let alone the kitchen). If you want to get a good grasp of the kitchens facilities I would recommend re-watching season 2 of Masterchef where this kitchen featured is almost every episode.
With a large rumpus room/study for bulk activities and an outdoor toilet where if you like listening and embracing the birds, bees and the serenity while doing your business …. this place has literally everything for you.
At last the swimming pool that has played host to some of histories most memorable personalities and events, none more so than one of the Olympic’s greatest individual athlete Micheal Phelps. It is well documents through the Phelps family photo albums but rarely disclosed to the public, but it was here in one great summer in the early 1990′s where the Phelps family experienced their first overseas journey and bypassing through Wagga one hot summers day when airconditioning units did not come standard in vehicles the pulled up infront of an extravagant residence on Edward Street. Piling out of a Car a previous Wagga Springs resident Trevor Fosdyke saw the family experience what he thought was heat stroke and invited them in for a swim and refreshments. Micheal nervous at first was lowered into the water by his father and this is the moment Michael froze but it wasn’t because of any fear it was an epiphany that turned him to be the athlete and swim legend he is today.
