Just let the steers loose and pick them up as bullocks. Located just halfway between Gympie and Biggenden is a great paddock just looking for attention. The paddock is just short of 500 acres of good warm forest country, with some patches of softwood scrub, centred around the convergence of Thunder and Calgoa creeks.
There is plenty of good creek valleys rising to Narrow Leaf Ironbark on the lower slopes, to Spotted Gum on the higher ridges, with patches of Softwood Scrub. Plenty of good timber left here for fencing, with poles ready for harvest in 5 to 10 years.
Some pasture has been planted including Rhodes and Wynn Cassia, with patches of Bisset Blue taking over, and plenty of Stylo’s. Black Speargrass predominates on the ridges.
Water is from the crystal clear creeks, several small dams, and the possibility of equipping a disused bore.
This is proper cattle country and well worth an inspection.
