I googled this block and thought it was pretty ordinary from the air. Then I drove out to take the photos; and I totally changed my mind. The 8 km drive from Blackbutt was soon forgotten.
Putting my finger on what impressed me is hard to say. It could have been the excellent dog fencing, or the timber entry way, or the abundance of mixed grasses which the two horses can’t keep up with, or the choice of culverts for dropping in a nice dam, or the open view to the setting sun in the west, or the well located few shady trees, or the modern stylish homes around the neighbourhood, or all of these things.
The power pole is right there at the front corner ready to connect up. The roads into Blackbutt are all sealed. The outlook is serene. The rates are quite reasonable. The price is right. I cannot pick a fault here. On my next visit to this block I going to bring the missus with me.
