Hay Grains’ is a commercial grain storage facility with a holding capacity of approximately 12,500 tonnes. The 6-acre site is situated on the corner of Cadell Street (Maude Road) and the Thelangerin Road and offers ample room for further silo or bunker expansion.
The storage facility consists of 4x 1566 tonne vertical aerated silos with computerised aeration system fitted in 2016, 2x 1244 tonne vertical aerated silos connected to a 120 tonne an hour drive over pit with new horizontal grain pump system installed in 2017.
The original grain shed has a 2000 tonne holding capacity with adjoining drive over pit in addition to 12x 100 tonne undercover open top silos. Further vertical storage includes 2x 250 tonne aerated silos.
Several substantial buildings are situated on the site including a high clearance bulk fertiliser/commodity shed with three bays and attached secure shed with concrete floor and sliding doors, a large workshop/storage shed with concrete and power, office building comprising of one bedroom, kitchen, lounge/office and grain testing room. The office features a new bathroom, new floor coverings, split system and comes complete with beds, quality furnishings, TV etc.
The site has been exceptionally well maintained and offers a significant amount of modern vertical grain storage, grain pumps, augers and associated infrastructure and presents with good working facilities including a registered electronic weighbridge and 3 phase power.
With a reputation of being exceptionally clean the site features a gravelled and compacted yard for all weather access (semi, B-double and road train combinations) and has a great history of hygiene with no issues with serious grain pest infestations.
In recent years the owners have had a real focus on safety and have invested significant capital into the site to ensure staff have a safe and secure work environment and that occupational health and safety requirements are met.
