Homehound is Australia's 3rd largest Real Estate Site

4 February, 2008

Property website Homehound.com.au has made a strong start to the year, claiming number 3 position in the competitive online real estate market.

Since the re-design of the site in May 2007, traffic to homehound.com.au has grown a massive 258%*. In January, traffic increased to 444,586 unique browsers^, with homehound.com.au elbowing myhome.com.au out of the number 3 spot.

"The new homehound.com.au has proven a hit with property seekers with traffic growing consistently every month since the re-launch of the site," says Michael Gethen, CEO, homehound.com.au.

"At homehound.com.au we've continued to focus on building what we believe is the best property website for consumers. It's easy to use, puts maps at the heart of the search process and gives property seekers control over their property search," Mr Gethen says.

"The best part about all this for real estate agencies around Australia is that it remains free for agents to list their sales and rental properties on homehound.com.au. At a time when other property websites are increasing their fees, homehound.com.au provides a compelling alternative for real estate agencies.

"Homehound.com.au has entrenched its position and is committed to partnering with the real estate industry for the long term."

Homehound.com.au has also received industry recognition by being named as a finalist in the 14th Annual AIMIA Awards for 'Best Classifieds'.
